Summertime Trophy Finds (Madrid/Natas Boards)

I found these bad boys while digging for records around SoCal. Madrid "Fiberglass Model" with Original Stage 1 Independent "T" Trucks.   A Skate collector from Texas told me that the Madrid was his "Grail.   The Natas was 80%-85% All Blacked Out. With hardly any of the graphic visible (It was in 5%-10% acceptable Good- condition).  I starting carefully chipping off the black paint on the surface with a credit card and unveiled all of the green bushes on the top, all of the triangles and flowers on the bottom half of the deck. The jaguars head wasn't even visible. First the teeth appeared from underneath the black flakey old black gloss spray paint on the surface, then the eyes... Was stoked. Most fun/rewarding restoration ever. It came out much better than I thought it was going to. I wondered why anybody would ever paint over such a classic. Then this dude from HB told me that back in the day (1987) parents weren't too stoked that their kids were riding Natas boards (cuz his name spells satan when read in reverse) So some parents took those boards away from their kids or painted over them and gave them back. Such a random find because it had those lame 2 dollar Kmart trucks on there on top of it being spray painted all black.
