(1st Stop) Saturday Night the DeadbeatClub came out to And Pens Bookstore in Culver City to present a slideshow from photographers (Nolan Hall, Clint Woodside, Grant Hatfield, Captain Sancho, & Ed & Deanna Templeton),
Many photos from the Orange County/Huntington Beach Area (a city which has a special place in my heart growing up taking the bus to the US Open at 6am surfing, everyday of the US Open & staying for the whole day running around with my surf buddies getting into trouble.)
Great work from great photographers. A couple of standouts were: an Amazing Ed Templeton Photo of a model feeding a seagull over her shoulder (no look style) in a dress, leaning against the southside pier railing looking seductively directly into the camera with her blue steel face on (really an unbelievable photo), also a Deanna Templeton Photo of a passed out naked OC bum cold passed out holding his unit (with no shirt on) layed out on the asphalt (which appears to be in the back of a liquor store in an OC alley or something). Hard Core Photographty, Lots of Naked/Weird/Humerous Photos. Lots of Fun. Oh yeah there was bomb pie available for those hipsters who weren't too cool to partake. I had the pumpkin pie it was great by (Nina's Pies). The DeadbeatClub produces limited edition independently produced private press Art Book Photo Zines.
