So in the process of treasure hunting (for records in particualr) I found a couple of special old photos at $25 ea Professionally Framed. Would post better pics but I don't want people jacking the image.
Didn't recognize the artist or people in photos.
But, In this case it was quite obvious that these photos were not done by an average new jack/hack photographer. Due to the range of subject matter and frame selections.
If these are not posed photos, and are just candid documentary street photos, then they're even better than I thought. Top I believe is a print 1/75 signed in pencil. The bottom image is Signed in Ink.
Leading me to believe it's an original photograph and not a print as there is no print number on it.
I believe the artists name is Raymond Holmes. Can't really make out exact last name.
I liken it to the show Shepard Fairey threw at Subliminal Projects for photographer Martha Cooper.
The photos she had in that show of this quality where snatched up quick at $350 + Tax ea. This one would have been gone.
I would have 100% for sure put up 350 on the bottom image, as I think anybody with any soul can see that is an important photo. Would have sold immediately at any show. One of my favorite images to catch a vibe from as it's extremely powerful photo.
The shapes & composition on the far right of the bottom photo, look like a abstract geometric painting. Luv It!
If you have any info on the artist let me know.
