My Friend Noah told me the other day "you know that one painting I bought from you a while back.... where you take the syran wrap from your palate that was going to end up in the trash and use that to paint with.... I was thinking that also relates to going green, or being ecologically friendly."
I was like "oh yeah!, I forgot I used to paint like that".... (cuz I only did two)
When he came over to my house, and saw that style in 06-07' he was all "dude could I buy that one right there"
and I said
"well it's not done yet, it's an experimental style, let me tweak it overnight & give it to you finished"
and he said,
"if you change it from where it's at, I don't know if I'll still want it, I like it like it is right now" .....
(at the time I was all whut the hell he knows whut he likes, who am I to argue - would prolly not do that now a days)
Anyways he mentioned it the other day(during the afternoon) and inspired me enough to start banging out that style again.
So that same night I started this piece ontop. (Acrylic on Wood Panel applied w/Syran Wrap & a Few Finesse Brush strokes) The one he bought has all thick layered/varnished color.
I'm really feeling the negative spaces on this one. Prolly gonna commit to doing it that way for a bit.
