Cali Sun Up Sun Down

Wake up in SoCal and the sky looks like this lately. First pic is from the flea market in the morning Summer 2012, and the other pics are from Sundown/Sunset.

Inspiration Board Photos

New Found Photos to add to my inspiration board. + An Old School Signed Temptations Promotional Photo from Motown Records Detroit, Michigan.

Wright Where I Want Em'

Took me quite a while to take this style were I needed it to go. Final pieces will be acrylic/gouache painting/collage. Larger Flowers are about 2 ft tall.

Box Set Cover

Shepard Fairey's Americana Print Box Set Collaboration with Neil Young. Only 200 Box Sets Made. There are 13 signed/numbered prints in the set. One print for each song on the new Neil Young/Crazy Horse album. The Metalic Gold Foil Box Cover is quite special.

Os Gemeos Promo CD/Wood Print Show Card

I found this Nike/Os Gemeos Promo CD at the Aaron Rose Fire Sale at Known Gallery amongst the $1 CD's. When I got home I was happy to find that inside the CD sleeve there was an Os Gemeos Show Card Print on Wood. I guess it came from a 2005 Nike pop up art show in Venice Beach, CA.

Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans

"75Cents Each"... Target stores throughout the US got a limited amount of these Andy Warhol 50th Aniversary Tomato Soup Cans. Pretty clever marketing. They were selling fast when I grabbed mine, and I overheard a Target store manager saying they were "flying off the shelves". They had a 10 can limit at the store I visited in Long Beach. But for some reason most were pretty damaged. A store worker brought me 2 fresh/unopened cases of the blue color can (which was my favorite) and of 48 cans I found 2 clean ones where the label wasn't ripped and can wasn't dented. An odd flaw in manufacturing. But it makes having a clean/mint/perfect set even rarer. Classic Warhol Quotes on the backside.
